The National Center for Civil and Human Rights (NCCHR) is due to open June 23, 2014. The Center is a cultural institution that will commemorate the historical struggle for African-American civil rights. It will also explore other human rights issues and struggles in American and around the world.
As the result of our partnership with NCCHR, the Center will include exhibits that feature the history of the disability rights movement. Since 2012 NCCHR has worked closely with staff and volunteers from The ADA Legacy Project to create content and ideas for these exhibits.
