We EDUCATE the Future

The legacy of the Americans with Disabilities Act is - in part - about education.

Although people with disabilities have accomplished a great deal in the areas of accessibility, integration, and acceptance, there is still work to be done. Medicaid's institutional bias still exists, and people with disabilities continue to reside in nursing facilities and other institutions. "Right to die" cases are still being raised. More than two decades after it's passage, there are still parts of the Americans with Disabilities Act that need full implementation.

Education is critical. We must raise public awareness and ensure these issues stay central in public arenas. So too, we must be intentional about nurturing the next generation of advocates.

The ADA Legacy Project is working with its partners to educate. We invite you to join us.
